Loan Chow

Before joining YHC Lawyers as Director, Loan managed and developed the Wills and Estates practices at two Brisbane law firms. She has worked exclusively in Wills and estate planning since 2005, and holds a dual degree in Law and Psychology, an unusual pairing that has proved invaluable in guiding families through sensitive, and often emotional, decisions.

Loan focuses entirely on estate planning. She prepares Wills, including testamentary discretionary trust Wills, as well as Enduring Powers of Attorney, Advance Health Directives and Letters of Wishes. Her particular interest lies in intergenerational wealth transfer, and in planning thoughtfully for blended families and complex family circumstances.

Clients value the way Loan explains the law in plain language, without jargon, so they feel informed rather than overwhelmed. She is a firm believer in fee certainty, giving families a clear, fixed cost before any work begins, and is described by her clients as patient, compassionate and reassuring.
